One man's journey through 12 different diets in 12 months, as seen on Channel 9's Today Show - a new diet every month for a year. Over the course of losing over 40 kilos I have noted the effectiveness and progress of each diet.
Hi Wayne, I seen you on Today show this morning, I myself am overweight, and I was interested in the no sugar diet, you went on. I myself have heard of many success with this diet, but was curious on what you ate, and how you went about this diet. As I do have trouble understanding labels myself. I was wondering if you could give us some information and or appropriate sites to get this information, as there is so many things on the internet, you don't know what to believe. I have tried so many things, and had no luck that I have gotten to the point I don't trust anything on the internet any more myself. Congradulations on your success. The sugar free diet was the best weight loss diet wasn't it.
I ate a lot of fresh fruit, other carbs like potatoes, rice (no tomato sauce - it's high in sugar) and lean meat.
Things I avoided when I saw them on labels: Sugar, Added Sugar, Refined Sugar, Glucose, Sucrose, Dextrose, Malto-Dextrin and variations of those. Fructose is naturally occurring so I was ok with that when I could see the product looked healthy enough.
I didn't care how much was in it - if there was any amount, no matter how small then I just did not eat it.
If the food had no label - I just did not eat it.
I am no expert by any means, but sticking to a simple rule really worked for me.
Awesome! Man you're skinny now! And on tv. What next!
ReplyDeleteI know right?
DeleteHow weird is that...?
Next the moon!
